Borovets is the oldest and the biggest mountain resort in Bulgaria, which has often gathered the ski elite of the world. Situated at 1350 m above sea level on the northern slopes of Rila Mountain among old pine-trees, Borovets is located at the foot of peak Moussala (2925 m) – the highest one on the Balkan Peninsula.
